Sahasrara (Sanskrit: सहस्रार, Sahasrāra) is the crown chakra.
Color: White - Pure Light
Element: Consciousness itself.
Location: placed above the head crown.
Yantra Symbol: It is described with 1000 multi-colored petals which are arranged in 20 layers.
Associations / Characteristics: This chakra symbolizes detachment from illusion, which is an essential element in obtaining supramental higher consciousness of the truth that one is all and all is one.
It is the most subtle chakra, relating to pure consciousness. It is sometimes related to the pituitary gland.
Unbalanced chakra: chronic exhaustion, sensitivity to light and sound. Psychologically and emotionally: lack of purpose, loss of identity, disbelief in any spiritual realities, trust, selflessness, apathy, devotion, inspiration, values, ethics, sense of fear, materialism.

Ajna
Ajna (Sanskrit: आज्ञा, Ājña, [aːɟɲʌ], meaning 'command') is the brow or third eye chakra. It means "command."
Color: purple
Element: light; spiritual vision, inner sound.
Location: in the brain, directly behind the eyebrow center.
Yantra symbol: A moon surrounded by 2 white petals. Above the moon is a downward pointing triangle, within which is a moon white lingum. Above the triangle is a smaller triangle, within which is the bija mantra Aum.
Associations / Characteristics: Ajna represents wisdom, self-mastery and spiritual realization. It is associated with gentility, subtlety, cooperation, tactfulness, diplomacy, patience, sincerity, harmony, artistic ability, intuition, empathy, support, love, humility, and peacefulness. It deals, too, with clairvoyance, insight, and visualization.
Unbalanced chakra: physical problems- headaches, nightmares, eyestrain, learning disabilities, panic, depression, blindness, deafness, seizures. Psychological and Emotional problems with: judgment, concept of reality, confusion, fear of ruth, lack of concentration and discipline.

It's related to the ears and the mouth, as well as the thyroid gland in the human endocrine system, in the neck, which produces hormones that are essential for growth and maturation. It deals with ego, solitude, thoughts, and ideas.

Anahata
Anahata (Sanskrit: अनाहत, Anāhata) is the heart chakra. It means unhurt, unstruck, or unbeaten.
Color: Green
Element: air
Location: The central channel behind the spine at the heart region; the center of the chest.
Yantra symbol: A grey lotus flower with 12 vermilion petals. Inside of the flower lies an intersection of 2 triangles, known as a shaktona. This represents the union of the male and feminine forms.
Associations / Characteristics: This chakra deals with the issues of love, passion, kindness, self-acceptance, forgiveness, relationships, and hope. As it balances the three lower and the three upper chakras, it balances the physical and the spiritual parts of our being. Thus, it processes and stores emotional experiences. It is associated with the sense of touch, the actions of the hands, and the ability to make decisions outside of the realm of the mind (following your heart). It's associated with charity to others, and other forms of healing. It's associated with the skin and a disease-combatant in the body: the white blood cells.
Unbalanced chakra: We feel grief, despair, jealousy, sadness, and loneliness above all other, more positive feelings. We're unable to feel empathy or compassion for ourselves or others. Our logic rules our behavior, instead of our grounding emotions and feelings. We may, physically, seep into depression and have cardiovascular problems.
It could become overpowering, in which case we feel possessiveness, jealousy, and resentment.
We have no room for love.
Balanced chakra: We give and receive love freely. We feel compassionate, and we feel a sense of wholeness. We're willing to share and give of ourselves in hope and inspiration. The connection to the air element comes into play: we spread and energize ourselves with air. We can get swept up with love, and yet come back and be grounded. We have good breath control, as air moves through us.

Manipura
Manipura (Sanskrit: मणिपूर, Maṇipūra), is the naval or solar plexus chakra. It means "city of Jewels" or "lustrous gem."

Associations / Characteristics: A masculine chakra, Manipura deals with the heat, fire, and assertiveness in us. It deals with identity and self-esteem; our inner-drive comes from this chakra. With it, we can assume responsibility for our life and follow our instincts. It deals with risk-taking. It's considered the center of dynamism, energy, willpower, and achievement. It's also associated with digestion, the sense of sight, and the action of movement.
An unbalanced chakra: We feel low self-esteem. We are sensitive to criticism, and have a poor self-image. We feel uncertain about many things in life. Associations / Characteristics: A feminine chakra, it deals with openness. It is the center of our emotion, creativity, sensuality, and procreation. It deals with the flow of emotions, sexuality, intimacy, and desire. Physically, it deals with urination and tears, the water of our body. Muladhara
Muladhara (Sanskrit: मूलाधार, Mūlādhāra), meaning root place, is the first chakra.
Color: red.
Element: Earth
Location: The base of the spine, beneath the sacrum.
Yantra symbol: Square surrounded by four red petals
Characteristics:
Connected to the basic animal instincts of self-preservation: food, shelter, health, security.
It is the foundation of our being. It is associated to the sense of smell, and thus the nose.
Emotionally connected to feelings of belonging, desires to live, and the strive to own necessities.
Unbalanced / Blocked Root Chakra:
Feelings of isolation, abandonment and fear may take hold of emotional and psychological health. One might feel uncomfortable, a sense of being alone; material wealth becomes crucial through greed and self-esteem issues. One may have excretion problems, since the chakra is linked to the anus.
Balanced Root Chakra: We feel safe; we feel a sense of belonging. We connect well with others, because our ability to trust and accept them is strong. We feel alive and peaceful. Our actions of excretion and our sense of smell work constantly.
